OH! Chart Week #2 Results

It’s Week #2 of the press team’s OH! Chart project and the competition has lifted another notch. With five new debutants in the top 13 and one artist leading a pack of very tight scores, it has been an epic week.

How the OH! Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Streaming and Downloads (55%), Hanteo Physical Sales (25%), and OH User Voting (20%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in who makes the chart each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the top 10 highest scores will make it onto the chart.

As Week #2 wrapped up, there was one very clear winner. IU improved on her third placing last week to smash the top 13 and scoring more than double the runner-up. Suran dominated at first place on MelOn chart to come second with her new song, “Wine” which was produced by BTS’ Suga. Rounding out the top three is popular indie band Hyukoh’s comeback track, “Tomboy”, which scored two points less than Suran’s “Wine”.

Expectedly, the physicals were headed by IU with 20360 points. Snuper and Jonghyun went head-to-head as they scored 15873 and 15280 respectivley. Veteran group Sechs Kies’ album, “Be Well” also sold well by recording 11423 copies. Leading boy group GOT7 steadily rounded up the top five with 5834 points.

IU stormed home once again in the streaming and downloads category, posting huge numbers for “Palette” and “Ending Scene”. All of IU’s tracks hit more than 4,000,000 streams. Hyukoh came second in both downloads and streaming, scoring 192, 218 and 4, 776, 419. Last week’s OH! Chart winner, WINNER and Hyolyn x CHANGMO both pulled in impressive streaming numbers.

For the OH user votes, WINNER’s powerful fanbase ensured their victory over Suran, with just 10 votes separating the two. WINNER recorded 123 votes ahead of Suran (113) and IU (80). While no other nominee reached the 50-vote mark; GOT7 and Jonghyun were the next best with 41 and 46 votes. Snuper’s “Back:Hug” polled the least votes in the Top 13.
