JYP Entertainment’s reigning girl group TWICE just denied BTS of another week at #1 on OH! Chart.
How the OH! Chart System Works:
The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). For each weekly cycle of the chart, OH users can vote for more than one nominee. However, they cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Chart Masters will then gather the data and crunch the numbers. Once an artist achieves three wins with one song (a triple crown!), this song will be excluded from future charts.
Results:
BTS is still charting consistently high in all aspects of OH! Chart this week, starting with the highest digital score of 50,483,839 with their hit song Boy With Luv. Jannabi‘s For Lovers That Hesitate climbs up to second place on Gaon digital chart with a total score of 50,205,977, overtaking indie duo Bolbbalgan4’s Bom which scored 40,509,732 points.
This week’s physical sales race is really tight. YG Entertainment’s BLACKPINK triumphs above the rest, by selling 141,952 copies of Kill This Love EP. Right on their tail, however, is TWICE who sees a total of 128,727 copies of Fancy You sold. BTS proves their consistency in third place with 112,132 copies sold of Map of The Soul: Persona.
As usual, ONCEs on OneHallyu never fail to come through when it comes to supporting their faves on OH! Chart polls. TWICE‘s Fancy garners 45 votes, placing them well ahead in this category. In second and third place, respectively, are BTS with 31 votes and Taeyeon with 20 votes.
With excellent scores across the board, TWICE‘s Fancy manages to edge BTS out of first place with a total of 20.66 points. BTS could have earned their third week at #1 had they matched TWICE’s OneHallyu support. Nevertheless, dropping only to second place with 19.17 points remains an incredible feat. BLACKPINK, however, falls behind in third place with 14.65 points.
