Wrapup

I love S.H.E but I was never really a fan of Hebe’s solo material. She seems to be pretty popular, even with casual Cpop fans, but her music is usually underwhelming and dull to me. There are a few songs that I like, but most of them I don’t care for. The songs themselves are not that bad. I think it has more to do with her singing because I find her singing to be really boring for the most part. I know that a lot of people will probably disagree with me, but her vocals really aren’t that great and actually are kind of mediocre. None of the S.H.E members have great vocals but they can get away with it because there are three members. Having other voices helps S.H.E mix things up. Hebe as a soloist doesn’t have this.

Insignificance is probably the best album out of the three she has. I liked about half of it compared to only liking two or three tracks off the other two albums. That is not good enough for me. I think that Cpop is about albums and not singles. You don’t become a fan of a Cpop artist because they have a few random songs that you like here and there. They need to have solid albums and Hebe doesn’t to me. This is an unpopular opinion, I know that it is. A lot of people love her and her music videos on youtube have a ton of views. She’s worth looking into just to see for yourself if she’s worth the hype or not.
