OH! Chart 180508 Results – Debutants dare to dream

A formidable pair pulled a surprise on debut this week. Former winners and other idols had to fight for the higher spots on the ladder.

How the OH! Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.

Results:

Rapper Loco and Mamamoo’s all-rounder Hwasa stole the show on debut by taking their first OH! Chart crown for “Don’t Give” on 14.622 points. Last week’s winners TWICE fell one spot after taking back-to-back wins with “What Is Love?” on 14.57 points. Ballad star Hwang Chi Yeul returned to the competition with a third spot finish for “The Only Star” on 8.6 points.

Hwang Chi Yeul’s powerful international fan base helped him secure a dominant win in the physicals with 91,302 copies. Popular boy group VIXX came second, after selling 24,639 copies. Girl group Lovelyz rounded out the top three on 20,623 copies.

Loco and Hwasa’s crown was consolidated with a big win in the digitals category. They recorded a mammoth 70,871,768 hits. Soloist Nilo continued his strong results by coming second on 42,676,764 hits. TWICE took out third spot with 40,067,058 hits.

TWICE once again earned the hearts of OH! users by notching 63 votes. Mamamoo finished second on 27 votes. WINNER rounded out the top three on 23 votes.
