OH! Chart 180619 Results – “Light” guides Wanna One to the top

With newly triple crowned BTS out of the competition, Wanna One continues the boy group streak on OH! Chart with “Light”.

How the OH! Chart System Works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.

Results:

Produce 101 sensation Wanna One effortlessly dazzles the competition with a landslide victory of 24.10 points. Their score is even more impressive considering the lack of votes from OneHallyu users in the OH User Voting category.

Korean public’s favourite duo Bolbbalgan4 takes second place with “Travel” with 13.03 points. Meanwhile, GFriend‘s “Time For The Moon Night” proves its longevity with third placing on 10.44 points, just a spot below their previous week’s charting.

Taking a closer look at the physical sales category, Wanna One outshines the others, selling 343,849 copies on Hanteo without breaking a sweat. Regardless, SHINee‘s second week of physical sales aren’t to be scoffed at, coming through with 10,688 copies sold on Hanteo. In third place, fromis_9 reps girl groups this week by recording 5,774 Hanteo-recognised sales.

Digital scores were led by Bolbbalgan4, who stunned with a total score of 55,554,662 on Gaon. Close behind are the boys from Wanna One with 38,904,850 points, giving them the edge on OH! Chart as excellent physical and digital sellers. Finally, Girl group AOA proves their continued post-Choa-departure digital success with 30,710,675 points.

This week’s competitors were neck and neck when it came to OH User Votes — girl groups, in particular, were clear favourites. Both Pristin V and GFriend came in first with 27 votes, while AOA scored 21 votes.

Top 12:

  1. Wanna One – Light (Gaon: 38,904,850 | Hanteo: 343,849 | OH User Votes: 12 | Total points: 24.10)
  2. Bolbbalgan4 – Travel (Gaon: 55,554,662 | Hanteo: 0 | OH User Votes: 9 | Total points: 13.03)
  3. GFriend – Time For The Moon Night (Gaon: 30,108,108 | Hanteo: 0 | OH User Votes: 27 | Total points: 10.44)
  4. AOA – Bingle Bangle
  5. Loco & Hwasa – Don’t Give It To Me
  6. Wanna One/Triple Position (Prod. ZICO) – Kangaroo
  7. Wanna One/The Heal (Prod. Heize) – Sandglass
  8. Nilo – Pass By
  9. Melomance – You
  10. Pristin V – Get It
  11. SHINee – Good Evening
  12. fromis_9 – DKDK

No.1 SPOTLIGHT: Wanna One

Previous ranking: Not applicable

Wanna One absolutely dominates OH! Chart with multiple entries, “Light” as well as subunit tracks “Kangaroo”, and “Sandglass”. Title track “Light” is a mid-tempo jam that is quite fortunately a marked improvement from their previous group effort.

Even without as many OH User Votes, Wanna One still manages to blaze their way to the top of the chart with remarkable digital and physical sales.

Do you foresee Wanna One extending their reign next week or would their potential streak be thwarted by another artist? Let us know in the comments below!
