Popular girl group BLACKPINK are back after almost a year of hiatus, taking control over the charts with their hit single “DDU-DU DDU-DU“!
How the OH! Chart System Works:
The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.
Results:
Girl group BLACKPINK reigned in the digitals category this week, with “DDU-DU DDU-DU” accumulating a total score of 85,411,467, and “Forever Young” not too far behind with a score of 50,664,973! Bolbbalgan4 and BTOB are also up there in the digitals category, with the two earning scores of 47,200,540 and 44,127,541 respectively.
When it comes to physicals, BLACKPINK are on top once again with a total of 98,092 copies sold. However BTOB aren’t to be underestimated either, with their total score of 78,794 copies. Veteran artist Taeyeon is also high up on the physical’s ladder, churning in a total score of 42,022 copies sold.
Onto the user’s voting category, BLACKPINK shows their popularity through a total of 33 votes for DDU-DU DDU-DU and 14points for Forever Young. Taeyeon and GFRIEND tie at a score of 23 votes, and SHINee demonstrate their approval with 20 votes!
Finally, BLACKPINK undoubtedly take the first place spot with a total of 25.3 points! Claiming the second spot on the podium is BTOB with 13.8 points, and BLACKPINK are able to take hold of the third place spot as well, with a total of 10.5 points.
