OH! Chart Results 180403 – Former triple crown winner returns

in Korean Entertainment, OH! Chart

Former winner Wanna One crushed the rest of the OH!Chart competition to record a big win. A large contingent of idols were fighting for the remaining spots.

How the OH!Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.

Results:

Former triple crown winner Wanna One has made a stunning return to the OH!Chart, recording a whopping 24.45 points for their latest track, “Boomerang”. Senior boy group BIGBANG came runner-up for a second consecutive week for “Flower Road” on 14.23 points. Last week’s winners Mamamoo dropped to third spot with “Starry Night” on 14.07 points.

Wanna One’s win was consolidated with a mammoth victory in the physicals category on 371,266 copies. NCT finished second for the second straight week after selling 41,311 copies – about half of last week’s total. Fellow boy group Up10tion rounded out the top three on 32,130 copies.

In the digitals category, BIGBANG were unstoppable in taking the win with 67,506,150 hits. Mamamoo took out second place on 56,157,833 hits. Wanna One came third spot with 54,230,188 hits.

Mamamoo won the hearts of OH! votes, claiming 35 votes. Wanna One came second on 28 votes. NCT followed closely behind in third place with 27 votes.

NO.1 SPOTLIGHT: Wanna One

Previous ranking: Not applicable

Leading project group Wanna One’s latest track, “Boomerang” is a fast-paced dance number. It features explosive vocals, rapid EDM beats and suave rap. The members have opted for a darker and electric theme this time around, which is vastly different to the soft, romantic vibe portrayed in “Beautiful”. From its catchy chorus, dynamic choreography to sexy calls of “Boomerang”, this track is bound for more success.

Can Wanna One repeat history? Will other idols jump up the competitio? Or will a debutant pull a surprise win? Let us know your thoughts below!
