OH! Chart Results: Which idol group claimed first prize?

Powerhouse girl groups stamped their authority in the OH! Chart this week. However, can the four nominated soloists come to spoil the party?

How the OH!Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Streaming and Downloads (55%), Hanteo Physical Sales (25%), and OH User Voting (20%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the 10 highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.

Results:

Third-year girl group Mamamoo overtook last week’s winner G-Dragon to claim their first win on the OH! Chart. Mamamoo finished on 17.21 points, just 0.63 points ahead of G-Dragon (16.58 points). A-Pink rounded out the top three for “Five” on 13.90 points. BLACK PINK dropped out of the top three by coming fourth on 11.09 points.

G-Dragon showed his strong fanbase by winning the physicals category for the second week in a row, finishing with 54,356 copies. Mamamoo came second after selling 32,596 copies. A-Pink took out third place again on 21,008. Meanwhile, popular boy groups MONSTA X and NCT 127 also posted decent numbers.

Rapper Heize made a stunning chart debut by dominating the downloads category, notching 259,511 hits for “Don’t You Know”. A-Pink came second with 189,590 hits, ahead of Mamamoo, who recorded 166,541 hits. For the streaming category, Mamamoo posted 7,103,840 hits in first place, ahead of Heize (7,004,647 hits) and BLACK PINK (6,632,012).

BLACKPINK won the hearts of the OH community with 62 votes. Mamamoo posted 50 votes in second place ahead of A-Pink on 45 votes. NCT 127 and G-Dragon also performed strongly.

NO.1 SPOTLIGHT: Mamamoo

Previous ranking: Second

Talented girl group Mamamoo’s latest release “Yes I Am” is a catchy dance track that features powerful vocals and an addictive chorus. There is a quirky and cheeky vibe to the song. The MV is colourful and sexy, which truly defines the group’s signature style. This gem is likely to keep on succeeding throughout the ladies’ promotional period.

Can Mamamoo capitalise on their success next week? Will G-Dragon continue his consistent top three placings? Or will Heize move up the ranks? Let us know your thoughts below!
