The year certainly hasn’t gotten any better anywhere in the world, but for South Korean entertainment, the show must go on. Bad luck, however, continues to extend to the ladies. Only three female groups made their mark on the charts this time — (G)-IDLE, ITZY, and astoundingly resilient, seven-year-curse-defying Apink. Can they rise above the likes of NCT Dream, GOT7 and Hallyu veteran Changmin of TVXQ fame?

OH! Chart? Nugu?
OH! Chart is a monthly music charting system that is unique to the OneHallyu community. It tracks top 10 songs on Gaon Monthly Digital Chart and the top five best-selling albums on Gaon Monthly Album Chart. Thus, only data from exceptional performers will be retrieved for both categories. We will then aggregate the data and rank the songs based on three voting categories: Streaming and Downloads (55% of votes), Physical Sales (20%) and OH! Press Reader Votes (25%).
March Recap: Kang Daniel Rules With ‘2U’
Last month, Kang Daniel was #1 on OH! Chart, heavily bolstered by fan support. And that’s really indicative of his entire career thus far, isn’t it? Even if you’re not a fan, you would have to be pretty silly to believe that his votes were unfairly rigged — here or on that cursed Mnet show. Even if he lacks presence on digital charts, his physical album sales and fanbase speak volumes.
