OH! CHART | Want APink to Top the Chart Again? Or Perhaps Baekhyun Should?

It’s gotta be May! We’re not covering A-pop music, but it feels like deja vu. Time and time again, boy groups come in waves into the music scene, the way *NSYNC did. This month, we have two wildly popular NCT subunits. Two entries by Baekhyun, one of the three main vocalists of million-seller EXO. We also have Big Hit’s second-born son, TXT. And of course, there’s NU’EST, continuing to sell despite pathetic promotions by Pledis.

Still, with every generation of boy groups, girls prove that they, too, can hold their own. Apink stands to chart for the second consecutive month after topping the last OH! Chart update. SNSD‘s powerful main vocalist Taeyeon is no stranger to the charts either. And of course, lest we forget rising girl group Oh My Girl, fresh from their recent success story on Queendom.

OH! Chart? Nugu?

OH! Chart is a monthly music charting system that is unique to the OneHallyu community. It tracks top 10 songs on Gaon Monthly Digital Chart and the top five best-selling albums on Gaon Monthly Album Chart. Thus, only data from exceptional performers will be retrieved for both categories. We will then aggregate the data and rank the songs based on three voting categories: Streaming and Downloads (55% of votes), Physical Sales (20%) and OH! Press Reader Votes (25%).

April Recap: Apink Killed It With Dumhdurum

Apink really said screw what y’all said about female idols getting all the bad luck in April — we’re going to rank at number one on your silly chart. Fair enough, ‘Dumhdurum’ does come with an insistent refrain that’s pretty hard to deny. They’ve evolved and come a long way from their whimsical No No No’s.

Anyways, these aren’t the droids you’re looking for. Here’s the poll! As usual, you’re free to vote for as many artists and groups as you like, so breathe easy, multifandom stans, we gotchu.
