OH! Chart Week #3 Results

Three weeks in and the consistent performers are telling the story in the Press Team’s latest project, OH! Chart. From veteran artists to K-Pop’s hottest groups, this week’s top 13 has it all.

How the OH! Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Streaming and Downloads (55%), Hanteo Physical Sales (25%), and OH User Voting (20%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the 10 highest scores will make it onto the chart.

Results:

Last week’s winner IU has suffered an upsetting defeat to legendary boy group Sechskies by a margain of 6.75 points. As Sechskies’ “Be Well” roared to the top of OH! Chart after placing fifth, Suran’s “Wine” fell from second place to third. IU’s smash hit “Palette” featuring G-Dragon continued its run in OH! Chart’s top three.

For the physicals category, Sechskies sold a whopping 44, 967 copies; almost three times more than IU (16, 331). Sechskies’ loyal fans showed why the group is still going strong. Meanwhile, hit girl group Lovelyz rounded up the top three with 12, 789 copies.

The downloads category was a closer battle between Sechskies, Suran and IU. Sechskies proved they are a force to be reckoned with in OH! Chart by topping downloads with 162, 658. IU and Suran also recorded figures above the 100,000 mark. For streaming, the ladies took control with IU scoring more than 300,000 streams over Suran.

OH users showed plenty of love for WINNER’s “Really Really” which garnered 97 votes. Both Suran and IU, again, recorded similar figures, notching 78 and 70 votes respectively. Surprisingly, Sechskies sat in the middle of the pack on just 31 votes, making the OH voting category their lowest showing.

Top 13:

No.1 Spotlight: Sechskies

Previous ranking: 5th

Sechskies showed that they still have the stage presence and skills in this medium-tempo track. “Be Well” is very easy to listen to and marketable even against their hoobaes. The legendary oppas are continuing their success, with this track, for their 20th anniversary promotions.

Can Sechskies become the first back-to-back winner of OH! Chart next week? Will IU still have a presence with “Palette” or will the comeback of leading girl group TWICE debut with a bang? Let us know your thoughts below!
