OH! CHART | Which October K-Pop Release Was the Best? AKMU? Or SuJu?

Or perhaps the ballads or K-indie tracks suit your fancy?

October saw idols elbowed out of the digital sales race yet again. South Koreans are maddeningly still all about that indie/ballad life, with the AKMU siblings ruling the charts. Still, despite woeful digital numbers, five idol nominees managed to enter this month’s OH! Chart – veterans Super Junior, NU’EST and EXO‘s King Chen, Monsta X, and rookies TXT.

Whose release(s) was/were your favourite?? Vote now!

What is OH! Chart Again?

OH! Chart is a monthly music charting system that is unique to the OneHallyu community. It tracks top 10 songs on Gaon Monthly Digital Chart and the top five best-selling albums on Gaon Monthly Album Chart. Thus, only data from exceptional performers will be retrieved for both categories. We will then aggregate the data and rank the songs based on three voting categories: Streaming and Downloads (55% of votes), Physical Sales (20%) and OH! Press Reader Votes (25%).

September Recap: Seventeen

In case y’all were fast asleep, Seventeen went eyes open, head first, can’t lose and charted at #1 in the last OH! Chart update with Fear. It’s that choreography. It just won’t quit. Alas, that does mean that the 2nd Annual OH! Chart Awards Artist of the Year TWICE didn’t quite manage to get there, but there’s nothing wrong with being second.

And now we’re back, this time with the best of the Korean music industry’s October releases. Do you agree with the rankings? Cast your votes and make your voice heard! A single vote can flip the rankings in your favourite artist’s favour. Trust us, we’ve simulated every outcome possible.

Support your bias below! Don’t worry, you can vote for more than one.

Vote for Your Fave October Chart-Toppers!

  • SUPER Clap - Super Junior (31%, 15 Votes)
  • 9 and Three Quarters (Run Away) - TXT (14%, 7 Votes)
  • Shall we? - Chen (12%, 6 Votes)

  • Follow - MONSTA X (6%, 3 Votes)
  • LOVE ME - NU'EST (6%, 3 Votes)
  • So Long - Paul Kim (6%, 3 Votes)
  • Another Love - Ha Yea Song (2%, 1 Votes)
  • I'm a little drunk - Lim Jae Hyun (prod. 2soo) (2%, 1 Votes)
