OH!Chart Results 180313 – Former triple crown winner takes win

Female idols asserted their control in this week’s competition. Other idols and male soloists were left fighting for remaining spots.

How the OH!Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.

Results:

SM Entertainment’s active girl group and former triple crown winners Red Velvet won their first crown for “Bad Boy” on 15.63 points. Fellow girl group Momoland remained in the top three for “Boom Boom” on 11.61 points. Chungha wrapped up the podium spots with “Roller Coaster” on 10.11 points.

Infinite’s leader Kim Sunggyu dominated the physicals category for his comeback by selling 21,661 copies. Cult idol group WSJN finished second with 11,307 copies. HIGHLIGHT’s main vocalist Yang Yoseob recorded back-to-back top three placings for the physicals with 9891 copies.

Momoland took out the digitals after they notched 43,974,580 hits. Classy soloist Roy Kim followed behind with a solid 40,397,854 hits. Fellow soloist Jang Deok Cheol clinched third place for “Good Old Days” on 38,268,664 hits.

Red Velvet were victorious and unstoppable in the OH! category, with a record 46 votes. Talented soloist Chungha won 24 votes to come second. WSJN rounded out the top three of female artists with 23 votes.

NO.1 SPOTLIGHT: Red Velvet

Previous ranking: Second

Red Velvet’s latest comeback track, “Bad Boy”, is a girl-crush type of song that releases an edgy yet sexy feel. The tune is sultry with a quirky twist. From the sway-worthy choreography to the addictive vocals filled with calls of “Ooh ~ ooh~” in falsetto, this track is a breath of fresh air from the girls. It is definitely a song that is sassier than their other tracks. With its catchy and carefree vibe, “Bad Boy” is bound to continue its success on the charts.

Can other female artists outperform Red Velvet? Will male soloists jump up the chart? Or can a debutant pull a surprise? Let us know your thoughts below!
