One idol group is strutting their way to creating history. Meanwhile, newly-nominated boy groups and rappers are surging their way up the chart.
How the OH!Chart system works:
The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.
Results:
Mamamoo pulled off back-to-back wins for “Starry Night” on 14.66 points. K-pop veterans BIGBANG made a stunning return to the OH!Chart, by claiming second place for “Flower Road” on 13.91 points. JYP Entertainment’s hot boy group, GOT7 rounded out the podium spots with “Look” on 12.56 points.
GOT7 was totally unrivalled in the physicals category after selling a mammoth 218,354 copies. SM Entertainment’s NCT came second on 82,137 copies. All-conquering girl group Mamamoo took out third place on 14,604 copies.
BIGBANG dominated the digitals category by recording 74,232,321 hits. Mamamoo followed their seniors to come second with 67,547,097 hits. Popular rapper Heize finished third for the second consecutive week with “Jenga”, featuring Gaeko, on 59,320,675 hits.
Red Velvet once again were the runaway winners in the OH! votes, notching a total of 46 votes this week. Mamamoo was right behind Red Velvet’s tail in second spot with 40 votes. NCT wrapped up the top three on 34 votes.
