OH!Chart Results 180417 – Chart winner returns

A former winner notches a successful return. Meanwhile, rappers and boy groups dominated the contingent of nominees this week.

How the OH!Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Digital Score (60%), Hanteo Physical Sales (15%), and OH User Voting (25%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the highest scores will make it onto the chart. If an artist wins a triple crown, their results will not be recorded in future charts.

Results:

WINNER has made a victorious comeback to the OH!Chart with their latest track, “Everyday” recording 16.66 points. Former winner BIGBANG finished second for the third time with “Flower Road” on 11.86 points. Fellow ex-chart winner Mamamoo stayed in third place for “Starry Night” on 11 points.

Wanna One dominated the physicals category for the second consecutive week on 89,286 copies. WINNER’s crown was steered by a solid result in coming second in this category, after they sold 52,269 copies. K-pop legends TVXQ rounded out the top three on 31,018 copies.

HAON’s smash hit “Barcode”, featuring Vinxen and produced by GroovyRoom, smashed out the competition in the digitals with a total of 55,272,562 hits. BIGBANG performed strongly again in taking out second spot on 46,774,993 hits. WINNER came third with 45,625,422 hits.

WINNER easily won the OH! category on 52 votes. BIGBANG finished second with 40 votes. Mamamoo kept its consistency in winning the love from OH! users who voted 36 times.

Previous ranking: Not applicable

YG Entertainment’s chic boy group WINNER has made a comeback to the K-pop scene with the medium-tempo, chilled and swag-filled track, “Everyday”. The boys have gone with a bachelor style concept in the MV where we see them dressed in bathrobes and comfy loungewear surrounded with girls in swimsuits. From a catchy, auto-tuned chorus and suave rap to cute, flirty gestures – it is hard not to become addicted to this song. Winner has once again produced a fresh tune that’s highly likeable and marketable.

Can WINNER go back-to-back? Will boy groups stake their claim? Or will rappers finally push for podium spots? Let us know your thoughts below!
