Lalisa has released a special performance video for her new song “Money” from her debut album. Oh, boy.
Recommended for: Those who really wanna sing about their money.
Not recommended for: Those who don’t have extra “dolla bills” to throw around.
Money:
Alright. Before we start, let’s take another deep breath and calm ourselves.
Okay. Let’s begin.
Right from the beginning, the dance is already more energetic than its predecessor.
The outfits could use some serious work, though.
The sets also leave much to be desired, but it is just a performance video, so can let that slide.
The lyrics…. Sigh…. Does anything need to be said about it?
The music shows a bit of variation from the title track. It utilizes a muted trumpet for the main part and creates a generally mellow, almost lazy sound. Doesn’t quite fit with the words about getting all the money, but not a completely bad sound.
Then comes the drop with a variety of brass instruments and a woodwind instrument.
The one really odd thing about the song is that Lisa sounds somewhat sad when she sings about her dollar bills. You can try to decide what that means.
This performance video is not much different from the title track “Lalisa”. It feels like they’ve improved on some things but then lowered the quality on the others.
What can you do?
