REVIEW :
After an arguably long wait, Super Junior D&E is finally back with a Japanese album. In this review, I will be talking about Sunrise, which is a track from ”Style”, the title of D&E’s new album. The lyrics of ”Sunrise” are penned by Super Junior’s renowned lyricist, Donghae. First impression wise, I was expecting a slow ballad as I depicted ”Sunrise” to be a song filled with a soft but melodic beat. However, upon the first listen, I was taken aback by the tempo of the song. “Sunrise” was rather a fast but regulated beat and honestly, it might sound like an exaggeration but the song brought wonders out of me. It made me feel instantly relaxed with the tempo of the song and the soothing vocals of D&E.
It was a rather simple looking music video, with D&E walking gracefully through the forest and running towards Sunrise towards the ending of the video. Additionally, D&E showed off their sleek dance movements and occasionally toyed around with the camera, making it a very comfortable and fun music video to watch. Super Junior D&E’s vocals have worked wonders once again, as they easily synchronized with one another, making the song sound pleasing to one’s ears. One complaint would be the bathrobes looking outfits Super Junior D&E were wearing when they were walking through the forest in the music video. It looks kind of odd on them but perhaps, due to the nature of the music video, it would have complemented nicely. Thankfully, the change of outfits (jackets and jeans) during their dance parts saved them from looking like Julius Caesar in the entire video.
Go and do yourself a favor by listening to the chill and relaxing vibe of ”Sunrise”, which will make you feel free in midst of a summer day, as promised by the music video’s description box. If that isn’t enough for you, make sure you get your hands on the new “Style” album, out on the 8th of August!
