As we are getting close to the end of the Summer simulcast season, the Fall simulcast season will start over the next week or so. It’s about time to talk about all the new and returning series coming this month. Some big name anime series will be making a return this Fall from My Hero Academia to Sword Art Online! With all of this, 2019 simulcast will end with a bang! Without further ado, here’s my watchlist for the Fall 2019 anime simulcast season.
Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld
Sword Art Online is back with a new season, which is a continuation of the Alicization Arc which aired earlier this year. I am super excited to see how the story will progress since they left the last season on a cliffhanger. So the series left off with Administrator being defeated by her teammate Chudelkin leaving Kirito and Alice together. Eugeo passed away since he used his life form to bring back the blue rose sword. Once Kirito was connected to the real world, he was tasked to take Alice to the World’s end alter in the dark territory before getting cut off but was not able to do so. Kirito, recovering from the aftermath of the battle against Administrator, Alice takes Kirito to visit her hometown of Rulid Village. Alice must rally the people of the Human Empire together in order to defend against the looming invasion by the Dark Territory. Air Date: October 12th.
Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin
Nanatsu no Taizai will be coming back for their 3rd season and I couldn’t be any more excited for this! I’m hoping to see and learn more about Elizabeth’s power as well as how the war against the demon race will turn out. Apparently the manga is still on going and I’m sure how many chapters this season will cover so it’s possible they might continue the series after season 3. Another note is that A-1 Pictures is no longer animating this series and will be animated by Studio Deen. Looking at the trailer, the animation style hasn’t really changed. The series will start off with the Sins as they continue their fight against the Ten Commandments, Meliodas and Elizabeth will test their fate, and a secret of the world will be unfolded. Air Date: October 9thÂ
Shokugeki no Souma: Shin no Sara
Shokugeki no Soma has made it to it’s 4th season, and I can’t wait to see how the shokugeki battle for the elite ten’s seats turn out. The third season ended in the middle of the arc where Soma was able to pass through the first bout by defeating Nene in a soba dish battle. Season 4 will continue the battle between the rebels and Central (the Regiment de Cuisine) with the remaining four bouts. It has not been revealed how many episodes this season will have but it has been said with the amount of chapters out, the series should be done within two more seasons. Air Date: October 12th.
Fairy Gone 2
Fairy Gone 2 is probably not on the top of everyone’s list as the first season was very hard to follow but the series started picking up towards the last few episodes so there’s still a chance for season 2 to be great! I think what continues to keep bring people back to the series might mainly just be for the characters and the series theme. Fairy Gone takes place in a world where fairies possess and dwell in animals, giving them mysterious abilities. Nine years have passed since the war. The protagonist Mariya is a new recruit of “Dorothea,” an organization which investigates and suppresses fairy-related crimes. Amidst the unstable political situation, criminals with lingering wounds from the war and past conflicts emerge and engage in terrorism as an act of revenge. This is the story of Fairy Soldiers, fighting for their own justice in a chaotic postwar world. Air Date: October 7th.
I hope you found my watchlist interesting. You can find out more anime coming up this simulcast season by going to Anichart.
