UPDATED: OH! Chart Results – Who won the tight tussle this week?

in Korean Entertainment, OH! Chart

With four chart debutants flying up the business end of the OH! Chart, anything can happen in terms of the results. Very small margins tell the tale from who wins and who loses in Week #7. Who stunned the field this week?

How the OH! Chart system works:

The chart is divided into three different categories: Gaon Streaming and Downloads (55%), Hanteo Physical Sales (25%), and OH User Voting (20%). OH users are allowed to vote and have a say in the overall chart ranks of certain songs each week. OH users can vote for more than one nominee but cannot vote for the same nominee more than once. Every week, data from the three categories will be gathered and weighted accordingly. The artists with the 10 highest scores will make it onto the chart.

A mere 1.72 points separated winners TWICE and runner-up, Highlight. Second-time winners TWICE scored 14.40 points ahead of chart debutants Highlight (12.68 points) and ASTRO (12.31). SISTAR’s final group track “Lonely” missed out on a podium finish by just 0.82 points.

Fantagio Entertainment’s resident boy group ASTRO pulled a surprise by easily winning the physicals category with 54,790 copies. Highlight secured second place after selling 24,406 copies. Last week’s champions SEVENTEEN ensured boy groups took the top three spots with 20,522 copies.

Downloads queens SISTAR clinched first place with a whopping 172,083 points, ahead of Highlight (148,566 points) and Baek A Yeon ft. The Barberettes’ “Sweet Lies” (144,440). For the streaming category, TWICE could not be stopped by leading with 6,773,030 points. Megastar PSY’s “I LUV IT” continued to show strong streaming numbers in second place with 6,058,723. Rounding up the top three was PSY again for “New Face” with 5,885,090.

The OH community favoured TWICE again, with fans voting 102 times. SISTAR’s last track was also well-received, with the group claiming second on 64 votes. SEVENTEEN maintained its strong showing in the OH category with 48 votes.

No.1 Spotlight: TWICE

Previous ranking: Second

TWICE defied the odds to capture a very close win this week. “Signal” continues to lead the way in achieving consistent numbers across the board, which is expected because the track is a true jam. Fans and K-Pop listeners don’t look like they will be shying away from giving TWICE’s latest title track more love.

Can TWICE notch their third win? Will Highlight continue its promising run or will fast finishers Astro sneak to the top? Or can other leading idol groups cause an upset? Let us know your thoughts below!
